Consulting & Supervising.

Supervision and consultation as a psychologist refers to a professional relationship that provides guidance, support, and oversight to other mental health professionals. The goal of supervision is to ensure that those with less experience are providing high-quality and ethical services to clients, while also having a space for ongoing learning, growth, and development. It is also a time to explore how to manage the emotional and psychological demands of the work.

Supervision and consultation may take various forms, such as individual or group sessions, on-site visits, or virtual communication. As a supervisor I may review cases, observe sessions, provide feedback, and offer guidance on various aspects of clinical practice, such as assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and ethical considerations.

Through the process of supervision and consultation, professionals can gain valuable knowledge, skills, and confidence in their work with clients.
